Replacing the role of Mrs. Steve on the show as the new next-door neghbor for seasons 2-5, Mrs. Rene was much more friendly and personable.

The Christmas special reveals that she is Jewish and celebrates Hanukkah, but is very tolerant of Pee-wee's religious beliefs as she says "Merry Christmas!" to Pee-wee before he leaves with Santa.
First appearance was in Open House. Her last appearance was in Camping Out (though she makes several flashback cameos in Playhouse for Sale).
She is played by Suzanne Kent from the second to fifth season of the series.
